BRYANSK, RUSSIA – In a massive blow to Russia’s “war machine,” Ukrainian forces have successfully targeted and severely damaged the Kremniy El microelectronics plant in the Bryansk region. Using sophisticated British-supplied Storm Shadow cruise missiles, the strike has reportedly crippled a facility responsible for the “brains” of Russia’s most advanced high-precision weaponry.

The Target: The “Nerve System” of Russian Missiles

President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the operation on Wednesday, following a report from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi. The Kremniy El plant is one of Russia’s largest microelectronics manufacturers, specializing in:

  • Integrated Microchips: Essential for the navigation and control systems of Iskander and Kalibr missiles.
  • Defense Electronics: Components used in the Pantsir air defense platforms and radar installations.
  • UAV Tech: Critical hardware for Russia’s growing fleet of attack drones.

“This factory produced the very components for the missiles that strike our cities, our villages, and our civilians,” Zelensky stated. “This is a completely justified response to the aggressor.”

Evidence of Devastation: Satellite Images Reveal Ruins

Fresh satellite imagery released by the OSINT community CyberBoroshno confirms the scale of the destruction. According to analysts:

  1. Direct Hits: At least five missiles struck Building No. 4, the plant’s main production hub.
  2. Structural Collapse: The workshop suffered extensive structural damage, with experts suggesting the production line is now permanently unusable without a total reconstruction.
  3. Secondary Blasts: Local residents reported massive plumes of black smoke and successive explosions lasting hours after the initial impact.

The Strategic Impact: Stopping the Missiles at the Source

This strike is part of a broader “Deep Strike” campaign by Ukraine to disrupt Russia’s military-industrial complex before the weapons even reach the front lines. By taking out the Kremniy El facility, Ukraine has effectively created a supply chain bottleneck for Russia’s high-tech weapon production.

While Russian authorities claimed the attack was a “terrorist act” and reported six civilian deaths near the facility, the Ukrainian military maintains that the target was purely military-economic in nature.
