Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 1, 2026, visited a lush tea garden in Dibrugarh, highlighting his personal connection with Assam’s rich tea heritage. The Prime Minister spent time with tea workers at the famous Manohari Tea Estate, where he interacted with workers and praised their contribution to India’s globally renowned tea industry.

According to officials, PM Modi spent nearly 30 minutes in the tea estate, plucked tea leaves alongside women workers, and discussed their livelihood concerns including healthcare, wages, and education. The visit comes amid the ongoing campaign for the 2026 Assam Legislative Assembly Election scheduled for April 9.
