In one of the biggest cybercrime crackdowns in India, Delhi Police launched Operation CyHawk 4.0, arresting more than 660 cyber criminals across 20+ states within just 48 hours.
According to reports, police also detained over 8,300 suspects, froze thousands of bank accounts, and dismantled illegal cyber fraud networks operating nationwide. The operation exposed fraud worth ₹519 crore, making it one of the largest cyber crime busts in India.

Authorities revealed that cyber criminals were involved in:

- Fake Investment Apps
- Digital Arrest Fraud
- OTP Fraud
- Fake Customer Care Scams
- Loan App Fraud
Police also discovered illegal call centers running in multiple states including:
- Delhi
- Uttar Pradesh
- Rajasthan
- Bihar
- West Bengal
Officials stated that cyber criminals used mule bank accounts, fake SIM cards, and AI-generated identities to scam victims.
